Dana M. Rosser is a homemaker, mother and wife, married to Dr. James “Butch” Rosser, author of “Living With Less of Me: A Surgeon’s Story.” As a contributing writer to this book dedicated to educating people about weight challenges and the option of gastric bypass surgery, Dana takes the unique vantage point of offering comfort from the often overlooked spousal perspective of this sensitive issue. Her focus is to lead the masses of spouses and family members out of “seclusion” while giving them the much needed respite of a shoulder to lean on as they too experience the emotional fluctuations of a nutritionally challenged survivor. Through her efforts, she hopes to aid in strengthening communication of the family unit as they learn to conquer this obstacle as a unified front. Dana’s passion shines through as she writes to this underrepresented group and gives them a voice never to be lost again.

Dana and Butch reside in Ryebrook, NY and are the parents of five children; Taylor and Tianna (twins-age 7), Nicole (23), Duane (26) and Kevin (28). A native of Akron, Ohio and graduate of the University of Akron, she enjoys cooking, reading, working out and traveling as a few of her favorite pastimes. “Living With Less of Me: A Surgeon’s Story” will be available Summer 2004.
